Key to Self Knowledge Unlocks Success

    By: Helena Kaufman

Self knowledge is the first step in becoming a more successful leader and person. It is also the first phase in the Structogram® Training System being introduced to British Columbia by Mr. Syed R. Khan. The Managing Partner of FFSG.CA in Surrey, Mr. Khan is also an Independent Sales Consultant for Structogram in BC.

The two, one day workshops will be presented by Andreas Hug, Master Trainer for Canada on Monday November 19 and Tuesday November 20 in Surrey. Managers, executives, professionals and business men and women from the Lower Mainland will participate in the learning event. It is designed to increase sales and management effectiveness, leadership and personal success.

Seating is limited so that those attending can take full advantage of the course. “Participants will experience the power of this training system,” says Khan. “We all engage our peers and customers in conversation and I have asked my buyers strong questions, but my experience of Structogram workshops allowed me to visualize better insights. These led to providing better recommendations that created a turning point in my customer relationships and thus in my sales revenues,” he explains.

The workshop opens with a short introduction and goes directly to group interaction and individual exercises. In their workbook, each person answers a series of 10 questions to identify their life-long strengths and patterns of preferences.

“No special academic experience or knowledge of complex terms is necessary,” says Andreas Hug. “Structogram is based on a person's strengths. The skills they pick up simply and naturally at the workshop are hard to unlearn but easy to understand and ready to apply immediately.”

    What colour is success?

Group interaction quickly shows what ‘colour' group everyone belongs to. Fun is added to the workshop when participants have done their own analysis and are given the actual Structogram tool, a colour wheel or disc. The colours of red, blue and green visually map out personality and potential in any situation. This makes it a far more universal and useful tool that does not depend on long theory or details that only apply in select situations.

“Structogram works no matter what culture or language you are working in because it relies on understanding what all of us have in common, and that is the human brain itself,” says Hug. The program that has its foundation in the biological structure of the human brain. The three parts of the brain are represented by the colours red, blue and green.

While in Canada since only 2005, Structogram workshops are delivered in 19 languages and taught world wide in Western and Eastern Europe, Turkey, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The newest countries to join include; Korea, Russia and South Africa with interest shown from South Asia and the UAE.

    What is the secret?

Once participants identify their own biological brain structure and understand the colour patterns, they have the insights alluded to in Mr. Khan's sales success experience. The training shows them what characterizes people, based on the three different main dominances of their “Triune” brains.

A summary matrix shows the preferences and reasons for success for the three colour coded groups of people and this helps get a message across more effectively when dealing with people. It might be a sensitive discussion with a family member or an entire company. It may be closing a sale, or talking to numerous customers and prospects, but in each case knowing the colour preferences and one's own style, the speaker understands “how” they wish to be talked to.

The secrets of what to say and how to say it and what is most natural are all part of the charts that clarify what works and what clashes in communications. The daylong workshop takes learners through the specialized workbook, visual aids and exercises to make the training fast, fun and almost impossible to unlearn.

Case studies offered in the workshop, normally start with the results and then give some explanation on how the system was used to achieve results. They present many practical applications in businesses as diverse as travel services, financial institutions, upscale fine furniture galleries, health care providers and international businesses. All their different goals were achieved by applying Structogram principles.

Why does Structogram training work? Structogram consultant Khan and master trainer Hug will show you how the system that helped them in their businesses, gives you the tools to analyze your own preferences and strengths. It then gives you the tools to recognize behaviour patterns in others which reveal their preferences and strengths. This unique combination gives you the key to increased success.

These November workshops are a joint presentation of Syed R. Khan of FFSG.CA, and Andreas Hug of Structogram Canada. The growing success of the event is managed and coordinated by Svetlana Miroshnichenko, a fashion retail manager and supported by Gold Level Sponsor, Shawn Sulaimann of AP Global Resources Inc.
